Leo North Latvia Club is organizing drawing contest for children 
Gauja is beautiful river and the longest in teritory of Latvia. It flows through Valmiera and is used for various purposes, so keeping this river free of pollution is very important.
It is interesting that Latvian Aleksandrs Laime who was living in Venezuela was first men who reached Angel Falls (the world's highest uninterrupted waterfall). He gave the river on which Angel Falls is the name Gauja, after the most beautiful river in Latvia of the same name. So we can definately say that this river has a historical meaning also!
The contest is made for children from 0 to 13 years and we hope that we will receive beautiful, interesting and longsighted drawings!
