North Latvia LEO club visiting the crisis centre in Auce

In the morning of 7^th of February LEOs were again gathering together. This time we were heading to the direction of Zemgale – crisis centre “Namiņš” in Auce where we delivered clothes and shoes gathered by us and also by our families and friends.

In the crisis centre every day tenths of little inhabitants of Auce can have a warm meal and receive clothes. And all of this is free of charge. Children who come here sometimes are from disadvantageous families where they suffer from poverty and cruelty. In the centre they not only can have dinner but also spend time playing together with other children, go on excursions, learn how to work with a computer and do exercises. In summer boys and girls help in the local garden to grow vegetables which in autumn and winter they will have as a meal. In the “Namiņš” we were warmly welcomed by housekeeper Ligija who also invited us to come and visit in future.
