LEOs participating in a camp for children from social risk group 
On the 6th
of June North Latvia Leo club members were managing “The day of big
opportunities” in the summer camp for youth who come from social risk group
(these are children who have had problems with law). The camp lasted for 5 days
and last day’s activities were organized by LEOs. Together with the young boys
and girls games were played to make them think about all the opportunities life
offers.
When preparing
for the camp already a while before it we came together to decide what kind of
games to play and how to organize the day. Many thanks to LEO Liene who took
the initiative and became the leader of the day and also LEO Agnese who spent a
lot of time to work on the game which we invented ourselves.
The day was wonderful – both
the young boys and girls and LEOs enjoyed it. The second camp where LEOs will
also participate will take place on 15th of August. The camp is
organized by Youth centre “Vinda”. North Latvia LEO club is really happy for
the opportunity to participate.
