LC Sundbyberg and LC Aluksne launches a gift of LEGO robotics sets (July, 2013)

Early spring of 2013 our long term partners and sponsors LC Sundbyberg came up with news having amount of 30 000 SEK to be landed as donations to the ones in need in Aluksne municipality.

We should admit over years we have been mosly involved in supporting social and health care institutions in our municipality. Also this time part of Sundbyberg's donation has been used to purchase beds for house of elderly (http://www.lionsclubs.lv/?s=1207746957&fu=read&id=248&start=1&ln=en).

However after intensive brainstorming we proposed our friends in Sundbyberg to participate also in activities targeted to yound people thus helping to keep them away of sporadic street activities finally turning out to criminal trends. Thus idea to gift LEGO robotics sets to Aluksne centre of children and youth as well as goalkeepers gear to ice hockey club "Alūksne" has been proposed to LC Sundbyberg and finally accepted as well.

We are deeply convinced any activitiy that can keep our kids and teenagers busy is a great investment into better future. We are proud that LEGO robotics parts costing over 1200 LVL will be part of our investment in youth activieties leaded by Ivars Vīksna at Aluksne centre of children and youth.
