The contest "Latvia could learn from Switzerland..."

In cooperation between Swiss LC Bazel and Latvia LC Riga, the contest of essay is completed. The theme of essay was: „Latvia could learn from Switzerland...”

Totally 12 essays in English has been presented, by the youngsters from Jelgava, Preili, Rezekne, Zvejniekciems, as well as from Daugavpils, Jekabpils and Kraslava regions. The essays submitted: Arina Jakovļeva, Elizabete Ladeiko, Ilvija Gribuška, Līva Zemīte, Mārcis Birste, Sigita Sunepa, Zane Ostrovska, Karolina Gavrilova, Jūlija Seņkane, Jēkabs Dambergs, Elīza Burmistre and Karīna Malahovska.

The jury composed by Axel Scherrer LC Bazel, Zigurds Beinerts and Andris Petersons LC Riga, and coordinator of contest Linda Matesa find that the winner is Elizabeth Ladeiko from Jekabpils secondary school Nr. 3. The winner in July-August will participate in Youth exchange camp in Switzerland, all expenses will be covered by LC Bazel.

The jury also approves the essays presented by Sigita Sunepa from Sprogi and Jekabs Dambergs from Sigulda.
