Christmas in Vidzeme hospital (25.12.2007)

We had our second activity, when NLLC visited Children department of Valmiera hospital on 25th of December. Though the majority of kids were having their mothers alongside, yet we realized that the unique feeling of celebration, joy and wonder can be found nowhere, but home. Hence we wanted to make the celebration more surprising. In order to accomplish it, we prepared tasty and healthy presents – fruit juice from “Pure Food” and mandarins. The visit in hospital became more interesting with various activities like drawing, painting on our and children faces. Moreover, we had special pencils for candle marking. We had origami activity – tulip making. Our present for this department was fairy books, which children could read before their sleep. But the most wonderful present for us in this Christmas time was the joy and children eyes full of glitter! In fact, one doesn’t need much to cause a pleasure! More photos available here!
