LEGO charity activity in Alūksne and Ape municipalities (Feb,March 2014)

During meeting of Baltic Sea Lions September of 2013 proposal on LEGO charity activity was passed over to Latvian LIONS and our club was amongst the ones welcoming this idea! Lion Silja Thimsen from LC Liepāja was co-ordinating this project on Latvian side.

Taking into consideration specifics of the particular charity municipal pre-scool institutions and kindergardens were chosen as recipients. So we had an good option to extend our activities over both Alūksne and Ape municipalities of former Aluksne district.

Within this activity many different sets of LEGO toys has been handed over to kindergardens "Cālis", "Sprīdītis" and "Pienenīte" in Alūksne town, "Zemenīte" in Strautiņi village, "Saulīte" in Alsviķi village, "Pūcīte" in Kolberģis village, "Vāverīte" in town of Ape, "Taurenītis" in Gaujiena village, "Mazputniņš" in Brenci and Aluksne municipality`s secondary school.

It was our great pleasure to be welcome by kids and staff of municipal institution involved during these activities so all of us had fun of doing great things together and helping our communities to grow.
