Visit of LC „Gävle” in Latvia

Latvia was visited by LC „Gävle” Lions members and choir “Gavle Lucia and Lion Singers”, to provide humanitarian and material support to children house “Spriditis”.

In January 13, 2012 LC „Gävle” Lions members and choir “Gavle Lucia and Lion Singers” arrived to Latvia to provide humanitarian and material support to children house “Spriditis”.

LC „Gävle” Lions members and choir “Gavle Lucia and Lion Singers” was met in Riga International Ferry terminal by LC “Riga” Lion Zigurds Beinerts and LC “Rigas Liepas” Lion Tatjana Kotello. All together they make tour around Old Riga and have lunch with national food in “Lido Sēta”. Thanks for tour organization to LC “Rigas Liepas” Lion Inese Bunga.

Among visitors there were LC „Gävle” Lions members with LC president Inger Lof, family members, choir “Gavle Lucia and Lion Singers” and Gävle’s “Lucia 2011”. Three young ladies arrived earlier and spent time with children house “Spriditis” kids, they played, participate in daily round and hold English lessons.

In the evening there were a charity concert performed by “Gavle Lucia and Lion Singers”.

Next morning the visitors visited children house “Spriditis”. Also small concert was held, and humanitarian goods were transferred to children house “Spriditis”.

During visit in Jurmala participated LC “Riga” Lion Maris Smits and members of prospective LC “Jurmala” Zigmunds Klivis with spouse Sannija Klive and Pavels Dunajs.

The director of children house “Spriditis” Kristiana Andersone, LC “Riga” Lion Maris Smits and prospective Lion Zigmars Liepa expressed one’s gratitude for humanitarian and material support to LC „Gävle” president Inger Lof, and other visitors.
