LEOs helping to clean the banks of Ozolinupite river
On 25th
of July with wellies on, working gloves in the pocket members of North Latvia
LEO club were ready to go and help Aleksandrs Lazarevs and Broks family to
implement their project. Our task was to clean the banks of the river from
bushes, fill the holes on the road with stones and also to destroy the dams
made by beavers. In total 7 dams were pulled down!
Before
heading to dinner LEOs made “The rapids of LEOs” which are now named this way.
The rapids were tenth of meters long with a heart shaped island in the middle
of them. This definitely was the most fun part of the day. We realized that
LEOs are really hard working and as the project is only in its initial stage it
was decided to organize another joint work in the autumn.
Thank
you to everyone!
